Seasons

Scripture says in Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He has made everything appropriate in its time...” whether it’s the barren trees in the dead of winter or the sunny blue skies in the middle of summer. Our lives are just like seasons that change in their appropriate time. We are born and we die while experiencing all the different aspects of life. The seasons in our lives are sometimes filled with light and happiness while others are filled with great loss and darkness.

Every season in our lives presents an opportunity to experience the grace of God, His loving and constant presence in the midst of a trial, in the pain of loss, and in the times of great defeat. God has a plan and a purpose for it all. If we never walk through our seasons of life, how will we ever know the incomprehensible faithfulness of God? He shows up in ALL seasons to give us whatever is needed in those times.

Thankfully, each season comes to a close and gives way to the next one, just as healing follows pain, hope follows despair and peace penetrates the fearful and anxious heart, as we look for Him there. We must embrace each season for what it will teach us and how God will reveal Himself In it.
